See all supported formats →Correct. The entire conversion pipeline runs in your browser using the Canvas API and a couple of small WASM/JS libraries for less-common formats like TIFF. There's no server endpoint that accepts your image data — open DevTools and watch the Network tab if you want to verify it yourself.
No hard limit. The practical ceiling is your device's available memory — modern laptops handle 100MB+ images comfortably. Mobile devices vary; if a conversion fails on a large image, try resizing it first.
We rasterize SVGs at their intrinsic size (or 1024px if unspecified). To get a higher-resolution PNG, use Resize → By percent and bump it up before converting.
PNG is lossless and JPG is lossy — for photographs, JPG will always be smaller. If you want to keep file size down, target WebP instead, which gives you JPG-class compression with optional transparency.
